this giving tuesday, December 3rd,
The Chicago Waldorf School is, first and foremost, a community.
The Community Fund supports the day-to-day operational expenses not covered by tuition. From their undyed organic wool to their lab-quality chemistry supplies to their professional-grade theater equipment, everything our students touch has been brought to them, in part, by the Community Fund.
Why Giving Tuesday matters
Each day, we strive to cultivate creative, curious students with a strong sense of themselves and of their place in the world. We see our students engage their sense of wonder, share their feelings of compassion, grow their self-reliance, overcome their personal challenges, and fill the halls of this school with joy, love, and light every single day. We know that they bring these qualities out into the world, as well. We couldn't be more proud of this community and we hope you share that pride.
Watch this video to learn why Giving Tuesday is vital to our school’s ability to remain independent, progressive, and more important than ever.
Building up to Giving Tuesday on December 3rd, we’ll be sharing reasons why you should consider including the Chicago Waldorf School in your philanthropic planning this year. Your generosity will make an impact all over the school community. Read about what you’ll be supporting when you support CWS:
sustainability
Your gift will support our students' journey from curious minds to responsible stewards of our planet. Join us in nurturing a world where sustainability is second nature. Watch this video to hear from Kristin Hoffmann and Montserrat Aguero about Chicago Waldorf School’s current sustainability initiatives.
financial strength
The Community Fund supports the long-term strength of our finances, ensuring that we can continue to provide this wonderful and unique education for decades to come. We can pay down debt, expand programming, and make sure our teachers are paid a competitive salary. Valerie Colis from AWSNA and Amy Bird from RSF tell us why the Community Fund is important not only to us, but the future of Waldorf.
