The Chicago Waldorf School is searching for a Cross Country Coach.
Starting late August and ending in October, the coach will oversee practices, and attend all meets with the team.
Coaches should have an excellent knowledge of the fundamentals of running, and experience coaching/and or playing at least at the high school level. Coaches must have the ability to structure practices to increase the skill and knowledge for the players. Coaches should be able to demonstrate skills and excellent sportsmanship. Our players are hungry for competition and are highly motivated.
Coaches will be supported in their efforts by an Athletic Director. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person, with growth potential as our athletic program grows.
Care of Physical Space Each coach handles the set up and daily maintenance of the gym and the equipment.
Qualifications & Compensation** The ideal candidate will enjoy introducing and developing fundamental running skills, and an enthusiasm for the progress each player and the team makes during the season.
Compensation is commensurate with experience, beginning in the range of $2,000 to $2,500.

Middle School Co-ed Flag Football Coach
The Chicago Waldorf School is searching for a Middle School Flag Football Coach.
Starting mid-August and ending in October, the coach will oversee practices, and attend all games with the team. The expectation is to practice 2 times a week for 1/ ½ to 2 hours and be present for all games.
Coaches should have a good knowledge of the fundamentals of flag football, and experience coaching and/or playing. Coaches must have the ability to structure practices to increase the skill and knowledge for the players. Coaches should be able to demonstrate skills and excellent sportsmanship. Our players are hungry for competition and are highly motivated.
Coaches will be supported in their efforts by an Athletic Director. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person, with growth potential as our athletic program grows.

AFTERNOON/EVENING RECEPTIONIST
Chicago Waldorf School is seeking an Afternoon / Evening Receptionist to join our team beginning at the end of August. The position is part-time hourly, working from roughly 3:00-7:30 Monday through Friday when school is in session. The Afternoon / Evening Receptionist is a member of the administrative team, reporting to the Administrative Director. Their primary role is to manage the school’s reception desk after school hours.
Specific responsibilities include:
· Answer phones and greet guests from end of school until building closes
· Work with aftercare staff and other program staff to help parents pick up after normal dismissal time
· Provide minor first aid (band aids, ice packs, etc.) during aftercare
· Help troubleshoot issues for afterschool events including sports, aftercare, and rentals
· Work with daytime receptionist to maintain best procedures for reception desk
· Work with operations manager to manage after hours calendar
· Close and lock up building and park gates nightly
· Other duties as assigned by the Administrative Director
The ideal candidate will have:

Position Overview
The Chicago Waldorf School is looking for someone who enjoys being outdoors in all weather and can create a supportive and positive afterschool experience for students grades 1-5. The candidate will collaborate with the Aftercare Supervisor to prepare a healthy snack each day and then pick-up students from their teachers and transition them to a supportive afternoon of play, rest, and creative activity.
Qualifications **
The ideal candidate will be someone who:
Demonstrates joy and reverence for childhood
Experience working with elementary aged children
Comfortable helping to resolve conflicts and apply restorative justice as needed
Spends time outdoors in all weather
Can sit and stand for long periods of time, sometimes on the floor
Organize supplies for aftercare activities and assist students with basic craft projects as needed.
Prepare simple whole-food snacks and follow CWS kitchen protocol.
Work in tandem with the Aftercare Supervisor to expedite room tidying and dishwashing at the beginning and end of each day
Stay in close communication with the Aftercare Supervisor in the spirit of flexibility and collaboration
Official training in Waldorf education is not required, but the ideal candidate will have an understanding of Waldorf education and a commitment to its principles.
Compensation & Amenities
Hours: Monday-Friday, 2:30-6:30 p.m.
Compensation: Hourly starting wage $17.
