Those of us who were blessed to know Sally Myers Rosenthal remember her not only as the loving mother of alumni Jackson Rosenthal (’24), but also as an avid volunteer, serving, throughout her time with us, as PTO Chair, a Room Parent, the Chair of Grandparents Day and Mayfair, an Advancement Committee Member, and a participant in our community-led Steiner Study Group. Sally exuded humility and warmth and never wanted any recognition for all of the amazing work she did. She brought her signature southern hospitality to every event she planned, including the galas that helped raise money for the purchase of our permanent home. And, of course, she was always happy to discuss varieties of barbecue sauce with anyone who would listen!

The Sally Myers Rosenthal Community Scholarship will award $2,500 annually to an extraordinary parent volunteer, which will be allocated to that family's tuition for the following school year. Until April 26th, 2024, we will be accepting nominations for this award.

If you would like to nominate an exemplary community member(s) who has dedicated their time and expertise to the growth of the Chicago Waldorf School, complete the form below describing your nominee's contributions. You can nominate as many volunteers as you would like.

Nominations will be reviewed by committee and the recipient will be announced at this year's May Fair.
