- Grade School Teacher
Teacher Susie Poole has been an active member of the Waldorf community since 1978 when she enrolled her oldest daughters in the 1st grade and Kindergarten of the fledgling Chicago Waldorf School in Old Town. She was smitten by Waldorf education and its view of the developing child which led her to the study of Anthroposophy and an appreciation for the depth and breadth of Rudolf Steiner’s insights. "The infusion of the arts and the emphasis on bringing 'living pictures' to the daily experience of children resonated strongly within me." Eighteen years and six children later, upon finishing Arcturus Teacher Training, she took her first class, the class of 2010. She has been a class teacher for two other classes (2012 and 2018) and is currently guiding a new class on their journey through Waldorf Education.
