I am a freelance cellist based in Chicago. I perform with the loud/art-rock band The Paver and also with Black Tie Elephant. I maintain a private studio of around twenty young cellists in Chicago, and direct the string orchestras at the Chicago Waldorf School. I also lead the Bass Clef Bandits, an alternative performing group of young cellists and bassists. I am a founding member at Soapbox Music Studio, a co-op recording/rehearsal studio in Humboldt Park.
Non-music things that I like include good vegetarian food, philosophy, and riding and fixing vintage bicycles.
