John has been interested in how the universe works since he was in high school. He attended Illinois Institute of Technology where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, learned to fence, and ruled the airwaves on the radio station. He was awarded a full tuition waiver and a teaching assistantship position for graduate studies at DePaul University, where he taught physics labs for science and non-science majors. Mr. Denman enjoyed teaching so much that he decided to teach high school physics. He taught at St. Scholastica Academy for six years until they closed, teaching Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy, IB Calculus, and Applied Math. He is currently enrolled at Benedictine University for his Professional Educator’s License which he will receive in April of 2014. He will begin taking Arcturus classes this fall, and is excited about the opportunity to teach at the Chicago Waldorf School.
