Brian Gleichauf began his career teaching science in the public school system, first in Michigan, then in New York. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics from Michigan State University, a master’s degree in Theology from McCormick Theological Seminary and a Waldorf High School Teacher Training Certificate from the Center for Anthroposophy in Wilton, NH. After his public school experience, Brian worked for three years as a church outreach and youth director, returning to teaching after discovering Waldorf methods in 2000. He has not looked back since. Brian currently teaches physics in the middle and high school programs. He also teaches the 9th grade Agriculture block as well as serving as liaison to the organic Ruby Community Garden at Schreiber Park and spearheading environmental projects including recycling, worm composting and beekeeping. Brian's family consists of his wife, Jennifer, who is a Presbyterian minister currently serving at an independent Congregationalist church on the north shore; his new daughter Evangeline, born Oct 28, 2012; and his dog, Oliver, who is a very good dog.
