Christina Assirati has more than 10 years’ experience working in early childhood education. She holds a B.A. in Education and a B.S. in Health and Nutrition from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil (where she is originally from). In May 2007, Christina received her Waldorf Teaching Certificate from the Arcturus Rudolf Steiner Teacher Training Program. While participating in the training, she became very involved with the Chicago Waldorf School. She worked as a substitute teacher, a park assistant for the grade school, and as an early childhood teacher assistant. In 2010, Christina had the opportunity to move to Nairobi, Kenya, and live there for a year. While there, she volunteered at the Nairobi Waldorf School, assisting in the classroom and organizing workshops for the parents and teachers. She is delighted to come back to work at Chicago Waldorf School as an Early Childhood Lead Teacher.
