Full Days / 8:30am-3:30pm
This Waldorf-focused summer day camp offers arts & crafts activities, age-specific handwork projects, lots of nature activities that will include planned trips to Albion beach, local parks and nature centers and visits to neighborhood museums and cultural institutions. Campers will enjoy daily outdoor play time at the beach, parks or other play areas. Dress in comfortable clothes and bring a lunch. Snacks will be provided.

Early Childhood Camp .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  June 15 - July 31   (Weeks 1-7) 

Half Days / 8:30am-11:45am
Seven weeks of summer camp exclusively for our youngest campers! The Early Childhood (EC) Summer Camp is dedicated to children from 3.5 to 6 yrs old and follows the morning rhythms of a typical Early Childhood class day. This play-based half day summer camp involves indoor activities, nature fables and storytelling, outdoor playtime in the side-yard playground and other Early Childhood class experiences. Taught by the current 1st grade teacher, Andrea Shaffer, who has 24 years' experience as an early childhood and grade school teacher, gym teacher and middle and high school coach at the Chicago Waldorf School. Morning snacks will be provided.
(For EC children and rising 1st graders / 3.5 thru 6 years)

Songwriting Camp .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  June 15 - 19   (Week 1)

Full Days / 8:30am-3:30pm
Have fun exploring basic songwriting techniques on musical instruments in a variety of traditional styles, including folk, blues and classical.Taught by CWS Orchestra Director, Brendan Finucane, the camp will culminate with an afternoon of campers performing & recording their songs at Soapbox Music Studio. Campers bring the instrument they wish to develop their songs on: whether string, wind or percussion (students should have at least 1 year of experience on this instrument). Bring your own bag lunch.   
(For rising 5th graders and up / 11 years + up)
 

Parkour Camp   .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  June 29 - July 17   (Weeks 3-5)

Half Days / 8:30am-11:45am
Practitioners of Art du Déplacement and Parkour use their bodies to interact with, and traverse, all types of environments. Led by CWS Parkour instructor, Kurt Gowan, in this camp you will learn to overcome physical and mental obstacles, discover fun and creative movements, and strengthen your body to meet the high demands of the discipline. You'll get a great workout as well as training for your mind and spirit. There will be games and challenges of all kinds! Bring: a Water bottle. Wear: Comfortable clothing. Long pants recommended. Any athletic shoes work! (For ages 12 and up)
 

Basketball Camp .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  . July 27 - 31   (Week 7)

Full Days / 8:30am-3:30pm
Held in the CWS gymnasium, this camp is open to all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. We teach fundamental skill development as well as team concepts. Campers receive individual instruction from highly qualified coaches with previous college playing and coaching experience. Campers should bring a lunch.
(For 11-18 years old)
 

Volleyball Camp .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  August 3 - 7    (Week 8)

Full Days / 8:30am-3:30pm
This sports skills camp will be run by Shannon Currie and Danielle Marder who coach the boys and girls teams during the school season. This camp covers all volleyball skills for beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels and promotes collaborative team play. Campers receive instruction in volleyball technique with an emphasis on fun skill development games and participants with prior experience will be challenged with developing individual skills in team play and offensive/defensive strategies. The camp will also address fitness and strength training.
(For rising 6th-12th graders / 11-18 years)

Eight 1 week sessions are offered.  Pick one week, multiple weeks or all summer!

Full day camp sessions run weekdays from 8:30am-3:30pm.

•  Camps Tuition is $175/week (half-day) and $300/week (full day).
    The registration form has all dates and pricing costs per camps.
•  All materials, equipment and supply costs are included within the camp tuition fee.
•  Single Day Drop-Ins for either  Kids Camp ($75.00 per day) or EC Camp ($50.00 per day) may be
    prearranged 48 hrs ahead of time with the Main Office on a “Space Available” basis.
•  Payment is due the week before session begins.
•  Because spaces are reserved, refunds/discounts are not available for absenses or early pickups.
•  Snacks will be provided in full day camps (included in camp tuition). Campers bring their own bag lunches.
•  Campers wear clothes appropriate for each camp's activities (details are outlined on the first day of camp).
