Languages

We want our students to not only know about other cultures and groups, but to be engaged as participating members of our global world community. The development of foreign language skills provides specialized tools for this engagement.

Spanish language lessons begin in 1st Grade and may continue through 12th. German is added in the upper grades. High school students choose one language for specialization. Two years of language are required with 5 levels of language study available. At the high school level, there are options for language and culture immersion for students wanting to further develop their skills through our Foreign Exchange Program as well as through Service Learning trips. Additional languages may be available through special arrangement with the school.
