Community Involvement

Our high school students are involved throughout the city in programs as diverse as the Margaret Kovler Center for Survivors of Torture, Alzheimer’s Family Care Center, Interfaith House, Green Corps, Tree House Humane Society and a variety of other community support efforts. These opportunities allow our students to engage with the greater Chicago community in new ways and connect with people and causes they might otherwise never see, much less come to know and care about.

We at Chicago Waldorf School know that when students realize that they can make a difference, they are more likely to continue doing so long into their lives. Our mission of engaging the heart, hands and mind is more important than ever for the future of our city and our global community.
