Today we discussed the Battle of Trenton and Washington's famous crossing of the Delaware river. Your most important homework assignment is to study for tomorrow's quiz. Carefully review your people, places and events, as well as your quotes and timeline. The quiz will cover everything from the French and Indian war up through last night's reading.
You are also to artistically arrange the quote from Thomas Paine, beginning "These are the times that try men's souls..." on a sheet of paper. This will be a block book entry, so be creative, and be sure to give this assignment the time it deserves.
For Thursday you are to draw a portrait of Washington. Feel free to consult the Internet for inspiration. It might be a good idea to get started on this project sooner than later, since we will also have a rather long reading assignment for tomorrow night as well.
