Revolutions - Thursday, January 10, 2013

Thursday, January 10, 2013

After our review today, we looked at the opening shots of the revolution at Lexington and Concord. We then took one final look at our map of the 13 colonies in preparation for tomorrow's quiz. The map you drew of the colonies is due tomorrow. Be sure to include the title "Map of the 13 Colonies".

You should read tonight's article on the Battle of Bunker Hill (pgs.56 - 76) and write three significant facts that impressed you. Remember that the more detailed your answers the more likely you are to score well on your homework assignments.

I have also asked that draw a portrait of a Minuteman for your block book. You should use color pencils to artistically recreate the character and uniform of one of these citizen-soldiers. You will turn this work in tomorrow.

I returned your corrected essays today. Please make the corrections I have indicated in red pen, and resubmit your essay by Monday.

See you tomorrow

Mr. Massie

ps... I am going to check your class notes tomorrow, so make sure they are in good order. Class notes are part of your class participation grade.
