Welcome to 8th Grade Spanish!

By the end of the 8th grade, the students should be able to know present tense of regular, irregular and some stem changing verbs, recognize present tense of reflexive verbs, and some basic prepositions. They worked on comparison of adjectives and superlatives, expressions with the verb tener and worked on expanding their vocabulary.

By the end of the school year the students should know basic vocabulary including greetings, simple commands, seasons, months, days of the week, parts of the day, colors, dates, cardinal numbers up to 100 and ordinal numbers up to 10, telling the time, body parts, clothing, classroom items, family, and daily activities. They should also know basic grammar including possessive pronouns, nouns, articles, adjectives, adverbs, basic prepositions and conjunctions.
