The 3rd grade this year will begin with simple “concentration” exercises to help with math skills. The children will work on the Creation story in movements that implement various forms for orientation and balance, including expansion and contraction exercises. They will further their knowledge of the sounds of speech and they will learn gestures for complete sentences.
The 3rd grade begins to move in simple rhythms to music and poetry, while the major and minor thirds are listened to. The students learn to move in simple forms based on contraction and expansion. Eurythmy class this year will also introduce the seven-fold rod exercise which encourages good posture.
