Your homework for tonight is to re-read Kant's essay, "What is Enlightenment", and write a response of between 150 and 250 words. Your essay should take into consideration the following:
Who are the guardians today?
What do they tell us? How do they seek to control our actions? Are they successful?
When, if ever, are guardians beneficial? When are they harmful?
How can we decide when and how to disregard our guardians?
Spend time considering and responding to these questions. This will be your first block book entry, so take care that your essay is thoughtful and complete.
