Today we conducted an extensive review of Rouseau's ideas about education and government, focusing on the issue of human/equal rights, topics that still concern us in the 21st century.
For Monday you are to:
Read the article entitled "Encyclopedia" by Denis Diderot and answer the study questions.
Complete your reading of Candide (chapters 26 - 30) and be prepared for a short reading quiz.
Begin working on your artwork depicting a scene from Candide, along with a caption from the book, telling the viewer what is happening in the picture. This will be due in final form on Tuesday.
I also suggest you begin work on your cover page, if you have not done so already. With only one week left in the block, it is time for you to start pulling together all of the elements of your book into a logical, artistic, and well-designed whole that represents your best work. Don't put this off until next Thursday night!
