U.S.Constitution: Wednesday, September 4, 2013
Wednesday, September 4, 2013
Today the 10th grade began their study of the U.S. Constitution by examining the significance of the Magna Carta and the English Bill of Rights. Tomorrow we will look at our nation's first constitution, The Articles of Confederation.
For Thursday students should:
Using the handout I provided, artistically create the first page of their block book, a colorful rendering of the Preamble to the Constitution. Give this first assignment the time and effort it deserves.
Read the article I passed out on the types of government established in the American colonies. Pay special attention to the first-hand account of life in the colonies, then answer the three follow-up questions.
I support the 10th grade in succeeding in this block. When you have questions or concerns, feel free to discuss them with me. If you work hard and follow the ground rules I mentioned today, I am confident we can reach our shared goal.
See you tomorrow morning
