CORRECTION!
Friday, February 8, 2013
Dear 10th Grade,
Seamus has caught an important mistake I made in class (thank you Seamus!). When we were working out the example problem involving Maria dropping the safe I worked out all of the velocities incorrectly. In the first second, the safe gains 9.8 m/s of speed (not 4.9) and increases by 9.8 every second. So, all of our velocities need to be corrected in that example. If you see this message, please let your classmates know about it.
When you look at Kinematics Problem 8, you will see it is a very similar problem. The example provided in that HW is correct.
Thanks,
Mr. Gleichauf
