The 10th Grade Humanities Track B begins with students reading selected books from Homer's Iliad and Odyssey, focusing on elements of the oral tradition, historical context, and recurring themes and techniques in both works. Our second unit will be a study of poetics with a concentration on form and technique. Over the course of the semester, students will write biographies, analytical essays, and poetry, as well as complete artistic projects in connection to the texts. In addition to literature study, students will strengthen their writing through concentrated vocabulary and grammar units.
