Drama - Course Description

Tuesday, August 14, 2012

The Tenth Grade rehearse and perform a play that is inspired by ancient Greek theatre. In addition to one or more speaking roles in the play, each student is also required to participate on either the set/lighting crew or the costumes/prop crew. Each crew meets outside of school once a week, designing and then executing the design plots for the production. Daily classes focus on blocking and acting rehearsals. The six-week class culminates in two evening performances for a public audience. The students are evaluated on their participation in class and on crews, mastery of their lines and blocking and on both their individual performances and ensemble support.
