Santa Lucia Festival at Lincoln Square Campus
9:15 am - 9:30 am
Lincoln Square Campus classrooms

Today the second grade will bring the festival to the EC classrooms in Lincoln Square campus with a processional honoring Santa Lucia. Traditionally, the oldest girl of the family, wearing a white dress, red sash and crown of light, leads her brothers and sisters in song, through the house, carrying saffron buns to her relatives. The second grade carries this festival for the school and community as part of their year-long study of heroes, sages, and saintly people. Please observe the procession in silence to support the reverent mood of this beautiful ritual.
