The Festivals and their Meanings - The Inner Development Study Group for ALL
8:15 am - 9:45 am
Upstairs in David Dozier's art studio
The Greek meaning of the word festival is “shinning day”. Steiner shows that the festivals do not only commemorate great historical events, cosmic truths and traditions; they are in themselves spiritual events that manifest in seasonal rhythms, and carry
a significance that grows and deepens with the development of human evolution. We study and celebrate these to sustain and renew ourselves. The Friday Study Group is co-created by Hazel Archer Ginsberg, Jean Riordan, Rev. Ann Burfeind of the Christian Community
Church and YOU. To register: hazel@shedrums.com. Questions? 773.549. 3026

School Tours and Orientations provide the most in-depth opportunity to experience and learn about the Chicago Waldorf School. These are designed for adults only (parents and teachers) and begin with a school tour followed by an orientation on Waldorf
philosophy and pedagogy. There is ample time for questions and further discussion. A curriculum display and a variety of informational materials are also available. For prospective high school parents, we offer an in-depth tour of the high school and a round
table discussion with high school teachers and students.
Attendance at a School Tour and Orientation is an essential part of the application and enrollment process.
