First Grade Welcome
Students will be welcomed by their teacher, Ms. Shaffer, and escorted to their new classroom by the High School senior class. Parents will learn about what to expect on the first day of school and how to support their child’s transition to the grade school.

New Parent and Student Orientation
Check-In for all new families, including refreshments. Please see Lisa Payton & Jennifer Zielinski at the welcome table to receive your New Family Welcome packets. (Welcome table will be outside; in case of rain it will be moved to the back of the auditorium).High School Orientation: 9th grade students only report to the High School History Room for your HS curriculum orientation.

Early Childhood Parent Meetings
All Early Childhood parents are strongly encouraged to attend. Your teachers will discuss what to expect on the first day of school, what things to bring, as well as other helpful information to support your child’s transition to Early Childhood.

First Day of School and Rose Ceremony
School assembly and Rose Ceremony for Grades 1-12, followed by a Welcome Coffee in the back of the auditorium for parents to socialize. Parents are invited to attend the Rose Ceremony to welcome the students and launch our school year!

The High School students join with many students from other regional Waldorf schools for a week of field research in the Hermit Island costal tide pools for their marine biology block.
