Race Relations in America and How Our Children Are Affected
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
English Room- Rogers Park Campus

The CWS Inclusion and Diversity Committee warmly invites the school community to participate in an important and timely film screening and discussion on issues related to “race” and “white privilege” in our society. We will view the film, "White Like Me" by author and anti-racist activist Tim Wise, and explore together the subject of “whiteness in America” and related issues as a starting point for reflection and discussion. This is a great opportunity to come together with other CWS parents and teachers to consider questions, concerns or fears being raised by students at school or at home around expressions of intolerance in the current social and political environment. We will also share with each other ways we have found to help our young ones to navigate this sensitive subject. Light refreshments will be provided.
