Welcome to Chicago Waldorf School- A New School Year Kickoff

The Parent Ambassador group, along with Chicago Waldorf School, will host many orientation activities on one day: Tuesday, September 4, 2012. The goals are to ease the transition from summer to school, and ensure all families are well informed and prepared to start the new school year.
New School Orientation Schedule- Tuesday Sept 4th
First Grade Student and Parent Orientation
8:30-9:30am Auditorium Students will be welcomed by their teacher and escorted to their new classroom by the senior class. Parents will learn about what to expect the first day and how to support their child’s transition to CWS. Families of first graders. Siblings are welcome.
Check-in for all New Families - Refreshments & Snacks
10:30am-10:15am Outside, weather permitting Lisa Payton and Jennifer Zielinski will be at the welcome table where parents can check in and pick up their New Family Welcome Packets. New parents only
General Orientation for New Families
10:15am – 11:45pm (Outside, weather permitting) Welcome and introduction by Luke Goodwin, Administrative Director. For new parents only

High School Parent Orientation
12:00pm-1:00pm Location: Biology Room, 3rd floor of High School. Parents of all 9th grade and new 10-11th grade students are encouraged to attend. There will be discussions about what to expect the first day, what things to bring and other helpful information. High School parents only
EC Parent Teacher Class Meeting (in EC classrooms)
12:30pm – 2:00pm All Early Childhood parents are strongly encouraged to attend. Your teachers will discuss what to expect the first day, what to bring and other helpful information to help integrate you into the new year. EC Parents only
