Fall Child Care Opportunity

Are you looking for a warm, nurturing environment that will serve the needs of your child with love and respect? I offer a family-style approach to child care that is ideal for the healthy development of the child. My home is warm, inviting, and intentionally filled with simple, natural elements along with toys that might be found in your own home, that help to encourage children to create and form games and stories. My aim is to create a gentle place where play is at the core and children can imagine freely while feeling safe and comfortable. We will engage in playful activities both indoors and outside in all seasons, as well as follow a rhythmic weekly routine that will include free play as well as stories, singing, art, movement, spanish, baking and opportunities to share chores, like helping to prepare their snacks, setting the table and taking turns feeding a pet, all of which build responsibility, cooperation and a sense of caring for one's self, their fellow peers, all living creatures and harvest a respect for nature and the environment around them. I will only be preparing wholesome foods, fruits and vegetables that are organic. I can also accommodate families that have food allergies. I have 17 years experience in the child care field. My family has been a part of the Chicago Waldorf School community for the past two years.  My personal goal is to start working toward a Lifeways certification. I have space available for 3-4 children, ages 3-6 yrs, starting in the Fall of 2013.  If this sounds like an experience you would like for your child I would love to hear from you. You may reach me, Stephanie Probst, at 773-263-0592 or steffanya@hotmail.com.

Experienced Writer and Publications Specialist Looking For Work

Before I was a CWS mom I was a Publications Specialist at Lucent Technologies for almost 13 years.  I developed end-user customer documentation from its outline/design stage to its end products (including paper-based user guides, training material, and online documentation). The job included interviewing Subject Matter Experts, working with them in the lab to understand a product or feature, using technical design specs/engineering materials as source for end-user procedural documentation, and attending field tests/installations for new software to validate my procedures.  I am ready to reenter the workforce and interested in any job opportunities in the writing field, including proofreading, editing, and technical writing. Please call or email Robin Lewis at 773.561.0049 or therobinlewis@hotmail.com
